IACTP and CONFERENCE INFORMATION
IACTP is a criminal justice association that includes members of the training professions from national, state and local corrections agencies, community corrections, juvenile justice, higher education, academies and commissions, and private corrections. We expect attendance to be from 75-150 participants, with approx. 15-30 participants per workshop. The smaller size of this conference affords exhibitors more personal contact with the conference attendees, all focused on criminal justice training.
IACTP Mission: The IACTP enhances public safety and the fair and humane treatment of
offenders by promoting organizational and individual excellence in the profession of training.
The Annual Trainers' Conference is a unique forum that brings together correctional leaders, training managers, trainers, field instructors, consultants and others interested in both effective corrections practice and exemplary training strategies. It provides attendees with the opportunity to network and share innovative approaches being used within correctional agencies throughout the country. We hope you will have a participatory role in shaping the agenda and future direction of our corrections system.

IACTP Awards of Excellence in Correctional Training
Another important aspect of IACTP’s Annual Trainers’ Conference is the opportunity to recognize those who have excelled in the training arena through the IACTP Awards of Excellence in Correctional Training. IACTP strives to identify and celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding individuals and programs in the field of criminal justice training but to achieve this goal we need your help. Truly exceptional training programs are difficult to accomplish and as a training professional you know what should or should not be recognized and rewarded. Support those organizations or individuals who have made
a difference in training by submitting them for recognition with an IACTP Award of Excellence through the following link: IACTP Awards of Excellence form.

As the region's hub, Boston is home to nearly 590,000 residents, many institutions of higher education, some of the world's finest inpatient hospitals, and numerous cultural and professional sports organizations. Boston-based jobs, primarily within the finance, health care, educational, and service areas, numbered nearly 660,000 in 2002.
